This from Github ESP8266/Arduino - Read me Serial Serial object works much the same way as on a regular Arduino. Hello guys, I'm using the Arduino Nano with ESP8266 with blynk. The fisrt step was upload the Software Serial example with my Arduino Nano, and I got the following response OK. [19] Blynk v0.3.3-beta [520] Connecting to iPhone de Renato [5754] IP: +CIFSR:STAIP,'172.20.10.2' +CIFSR:STAMAC,'5c:cf:7f:11:d2:f2' OK [5801] Connected to WiFi [140060] Ready (ping: 75ms). After that, I've tried to upload the HardwareSerial example, which I read that it's more stable and everything with the same circuit connection, just changing the TX/RX pins that were in pins 2(tx) and 3 (rx), now they are TX at Arduino RX, and RX at Arduino TX. But now I've got the following response: [19] Blynk v0.3.3-beta [520] Connecting to iPhone de Renato ATE0 [1531] Failed to disable Echo AT+CIPCLOSE AT+CIPSTART='TCP','cloud.blynk.cc',8442 AT+CIPCLOSE AT+CIPSTART='TCP','cloud.blynk.cc',8442 AT+CIPCLOSE AT+CIPSTART='TCP','cloud.blynk.cc',8442 Please, does anybody know how to fix it? I've been trying to read everything about it and I couldn't solve it, I have no idea what is wrong. - Serial numbers unknown. Tn75da serial number location. Can anybody tell me how to run the hardwareSerial example code to implement my Blynk APP? Thanks a lot guys. Esp8266 Firmware VersionsHi guys, thank you very much for your tips, it helped a lot. I've tested the exactly circuit as you showed in Arduino Nano, but it still have the same error 'Failed to disable echo', But now, I've uploaded in my Arduino Uno, and it has showed no error, and connected to my wifi network, using the HardwareSerial example, but it is still a problem, my APP cannot connect to the Hardware, the APP shows the message 'Arduino Uno is offline'. I've changed the auth token as well as the wifi information. In the monitor serial it shows. Tue Jun 23, 2015 8:22 pm Is this similar to SoftwareSerial as used in Arduino? Apart from hardware FIFO (128 bytes for TX and RX) HardwareSerial has additional 256-byte TX and RX buffers. Both transmit and receive is interrupt-driven. Write and read functions only block the sketch execution when the respective FIFO/buffers are full/empty. Serial uses UART0, which is mapped to pins GPIO1 (TX) and GPIO3 (RX). Serial may be remapped to GPIO15 (TX) and GPIO13 (RX) by calling Serial.swap(); after Serial.begin(). Black decker smart scan manual transfer case. Calling swap again maps UART0 back to GPIO1 and GPIO3. Serial1 uses UART1 which is a transmit-only UART. Esp8266 Wifi To SerialUART1 TX pin is GPIO2. To use Serial1, call Serial1.begin. By default the diagnostic output from WiFi libraries is disabled when you call Serial.begin. To enable debug output again, call Serial.setDebugOutput(true). To redirect debug output to Serial1 instead, call Serial1.setDebugOutput(true). Studio moviebox deluxe version 9. ![]() Both Serial and Serial1 objects support 5, 6, 7, 8 data bits, odd (O), even (E), and no (N) parity, and 1 or 2 stop bits. To set the desired mode, call Serial.begin(baudrate, SERIAL_8N1);, Serial.begin(baudrate, SERIAL_6E2);, etc. However if you feel this would be useful then I suggest you go to the ESP8266/Arduino site and write a new issue and see what Igrr thinks.I am sure he could get it in easily enough.
